ZOGWORKS © 2002

In the beginning, Zogworks were created to help teachers enhance learning in their classrooms.  They were designed as a focal point—a place to begin a lesson.  But, they were more than that.  Zogworks are Language Arts based and promote geography—something that is lacking in our schools today.  Similarly, Zogworks can also be a fun way for parents and children to interact at their ‘quiet time’ reading sessions at home.

The stories engage colorful characters and lots of interaction.  Children begin to discover the world around them and, at the same time, learn where different places are in the world including rivers, mountains, cities, states and countries.  Zogworks will encourage children as young as 6 years old to use an atlas as a resource.

In a March 2003 seminar held at Great Britain's Oxford University, the books  and philosophy of Zogworks  were introduced to a large group of  school administrators and educators from both Great Britain and the United States.

The response was tremendous.  All agreed that the use of Zogworks would intensify learning in the classroom.  They commended the educational advantages and clear values provided by Zogworks' characters and storylines. And, they agreed that  the promotion of geography and the use of maps (include in most Zogworks)  were an added bonus to the fun of learning.
